New launch attempt for MetOp
Following the verifications made during last night, the origin of the countdown halt, 1 minute 10 seconds before lift-off, related to the ground control system, was identified and corrected.
The new launch attempt will take place today; Tuesday 18 October at 16:28 UTC (18:28 CEST; 22:28 Baikonur local time).

New launch attempt for MetOp
Following the verifications made during last night, the origin of the countdown halt, 1 minute 10 seconds before lift-off, related to the ground control system, was identified and corrected.
The new launch attempt will take place today; Tuesday 18 October at 16:28 UTC (18:28 CEST; 22:28 Baikonur local time).

MetOp launch delayed to 19 October
The launch of MetOp has been postponed due to bad weather conditions, confirmed by the weather probe launched around 15:00 CEST. The new launch attempt is scheduled for tomorrow Thursday 19 October at 18:28 CEST.
The results from the weather sonde confirmed the likely presence of too strong winds at a high altitude at the scheduled launch time. Accordingly, it was decided to delay the launch by 24 hours.

Da müssen die Meteorologen sich aber sehr anstrengen!
Hat schon jemand eine Vorausprognose gesehen. Die müs-
sen das doch irgendwie simuliert haben, um zu so einer Aus-
sage zu kommen, oder muss man die gut 3 Milliarden Franken,
die das ganze Programm verschlingt, rechtfertigen?
